Sanborn Agency Rebranding & Website

Sanborn Agency: Rebranding & Website

Sanborn Agency was renaming itself from Sanborn Media Factory to the shorter moniker of simply Sanborn, which is what clients and friends called the company anyway. The owners called on me to spearhead the rebranding effort. The resulting logo is a nod to the Bushwick, Brooklyn office which is a converted space in the middle of an industrial area. Being an agency that does everything from websites to welding together crazy stuff for live experiences, a "bolt" felt appropriate to reflect the mentality of the company. Along with the new brand, the website needed a refresh as well. The challenge was to create a templated portfolio section that enabled designers to create and customize case studies that are compatible with our responsive site design, as well as deploy them without developer resources. I created a series of Photoshop templates that took the guesswork out of properly sizing images. A series of modulated content blocks in a variety of widths allowed for maximum flexibility. I then partnered with the development team to create a Wordpress framework that would empower designers to further customize each piece of content and publish to the site.
